Rehearsal Dinner

We enjoyed the fun rehearsal dinner on the gulf side of the bay, outside overlooking a long boardwalk, beautiful views, and a live band. Not only did many family members make the trek to Florida, but also lots and lots of Matt and Kristin's best friends. I had a great time catching up with old friends and meeting new ones, and know the newlyweds couldn't imagine their special day without these people!

Next, the wedding day is finally here!

Beach Bum

Lily's first trip to the ocean was a success - she loved almost everything about it. Even though it was a very foggy morning, it didn't stop our little beach bum!

Not a huge fan of the sand in her toes. But she loved throwing it!

Wedding extravaganza

Last week, big brother Matt tied the knot after a weekend full of fun in Destin. We flew in Thursday and started the trip off by catching up with extended family.

We gained a new sister over the weekend and couldn't be more thrilled with Matt's choice. Kristin is such a perfect addition to our family!

Lily was Reece's little shadow the entire weekend. I kept joking that I needed to pay him for his babysitting services - here he is showing her a fun game on the Ipad. They cuddled like this for probably an hour. Lily was in heaven.

Next up, the rehearsal dinner and Lily's first day at the beach!

Phoenix has a very fun, interactive Children's Museum.

Lily's favorite room was the 'grocery store' where she had a blast scooping and sorting beans onto the scale. And dumping them on the floor. Oops.

We've been enjoying some beautiful weather, so decided to walk to our local restaurant to sit outside and sip on a beer. Lily would not ride in her stroller, but wanted her pink car and our neighbor's helmet. We were a little embarrassed we let her wear a KSU t-shirt that day!

98 degrees in early April. It actually was over a 100 last week.

One morning, Lily and I went on a date to Starbucks.

Once she figured out where we were going, she yelled "Mommy, Lily is happy!"

Addicted, just like her parents.

I went to a mom's night out with a local playgroup, and won a door prize.

A potty for Lily. I was excited.

Ya, life has changed.

Swimming

We started Lily in swimming lessons last week at our local aquatic center. It's really more an introduction to water than actual lessons. Lily is such a little fish...she loves the water!

We splash our arms, kick our legs, and are starting to float on our backs. Not a huge fan of floating yet, but we'll get there.

Just in time to hit the beach for Uncle Matt's wedding! We can't wait!!!
