Summertime fun

Just a quick post on a few fun summertime activities our family has been enjoying!

At the beginning of the summer, I put Lily in some pretty hardcore swimming lessons.  Though we don't have a pool in our backyard, most of our friends do.  Being around water so much, we really wanted her to be water safe - in other words, swim on her own and get to the side of the pool without help.  She started off barely putting her face in to blow bubbles and refusing to get her hair wet.  Now she is a little fish and can almost swim unassisted!

We spent the 4th at a friend's house and had a blast using their pool.  One look at Daddy and his buddy Matt going off the diving board, and Lily was sold.  She ran right over, jumped off, and swam to Daddy...and then repeated until we finally cut her off.

Last Saturday, we went to Greasewood Flats, an outdoor 'Cowboy' restaurant claiming some of the best burgers in town.  It's a perfect venue for families as the kids just run around, dance to the country music, and wear themselves out.  We met a few friends from the neighborhood and had a great time!

We are trying to enjoy every moment with our little family of three before George joins the mix.  Four weeks and counting...
